The reason for my low score, is that whilst this was an okay read, it wasn't exceptional/5(). "The Queen of Water," by Laura Resau opened my eyes to some of the problems of racism and classism in Latin America. A novel based on a true story, "The Queen of Water" tells the story of Virginia, a little girl who is taken from her dirt-poor indigena family in mountainous rural Ecuador to be, basically, a slave to a slightly wealthier couple/5.

Fairest of All: A Tale of the Wicked Queen is the first book in Disney's Villains series. I love Villains and after seeing this cover, couldn't resist picking a copy up for myself.
